Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026

Constitution.Vote ("the Platform") is operated by Euler's Identity, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

  • Account information: Email address, display name, and password (hashed, never stored in plain text).
  • Political alignment data: Your responses to the onboarding quiz and your four-dimensional political position vector.
  • Voting data: Your votes on polls, party affiliation, and delegation preferences.
  • Geographic data: Your approximate location (state and county), derived from IP address or self-reported, used for county-level visualizations.
  • Verification data: If you complete KYC or voter-file verification, the verification result (pass/fail) is stored. Your identity documents are processed by a third-party provider and are not stored on our servers.
  • Usage data: Page views, session duration, and interaction data via Google Analytics (anonymized).

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To operate the platform: tallying votes, computing party positions, generating the Citizens' Assembly visualization, and matching you with parties.
  • To display aggregate, anonymized results publicly (poll totals, party breakdowns, county-level trends).
  • To improve the platform through usage analytics.
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets) via Resend.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share individual voting records with third parties. We do not use your data for political advertising or targeting.

3. Public Domain Data

All aggregate data generated by the platform — poll results, party breakdowns, county-level voting patterns, and assembly seat allocations — is in the public domain. Anyone may use, reproduce, and distribute this data freely. We request that you cite constitution.vote as the source when publishing or referencing our aggregate data.

Individual user data (your specific votes, quiz answers, and profile information) is not public and is protected under this policy.

4. Your Rights

  • Access: You can view all data associated with your account from your Settings page.
  • Privacy controls: You control whether your profile is public or private, and what information is visible to other users.
  • Deletion: You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting [email protected].
  • Portability: You may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.

5. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Database connections use TLS encryption. Verification documents are handled by a certified third-party identity provider and never touch our servers.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens) and Google Analytics 4 for anonymized usage statistics. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. You may disable analytics cookies in your browser settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users by email of material changes to this policy. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
